My Dream to become a CCLS started when: When I was little, I had a teacher’s desk in my room. One day, I said that I wanted to become a teacher for kids in the hospital, and my mom told me that that was possible. Ever since then, it has been my dream to become a Child Life Specialist. I love working with children, and Child Life is such a unique way to bring joy into their lives!!!!

My Journey to Child Life: Throughout high school & college, I volunteered at various hospitals in the Boston area and at Camp Sunshine in Maine. During my senior year of college, I was the Family Services intern at a non-profit for children with cancer, called WHY ME & Sherry’s House. After graduation, I completed my Child Life Internship at at Notre Dame Health Care’s Pedi Pals program, which provides home-based palliative and hospice care to children and families. I now work there as a Child Life Specialist! 🙂
